The Café Loren was opened in 1978 as Avalon’s first fine dining BYOB. Nestled around the Avalon Freeze, Avalon’s 1950’s landmark ice cream stand, we have maintained an atmosphere of seashore elegance with a friendly and professional staff for 30 years.

For three decades we have strived to provide superb continental cuisine with an emphasis on creatively prepared seafood. Chef/Owner Stephen Serano created a wonderful menu for 2007 along with delicious daily additions. He is honing his skills in a fine New York restaurant this winter and is looking forward to preparing a delectable menu for the summer of 2008.

Everyone seems to know someone at the Café Loren. Patty and Mark want you to be one of the regulars who make the Café Loren a must each summer!

Attire is "dressy-casual". Jackets are not required, although not out of place. Shorts are acceptable. We request that men wear a collared shirt.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Diners Club are accepted.

We encourage you to make a reservation. Our phones are answered every day we are open after 2pm during our regular season or you can use our form to place your reservation on-line. Please remember to submit your on-line reservation at least 7 days in advance.
